Local Backup
AIPAY hands the backup to CryptoKey.im in an embedded window: the password is typed there, and AIPAY never sees or stores it. CryptoKey can output the encrypted backup as a .ckx file or as a PNG image: the .ckx file is the backup byte-for-byte, while the PNG hides the data in the pixels of a cover image — your own or one CryptoKey generates. Without the password the backup cannot be decrypted.
You can use your own PNG as the cover image (it must be large enough; AIPAY checks it before you enter a password), or let CryptoKey generate one. Either way the PNG has to be kept or sent as the original file.
Keep or send the backup as the ORIGINAL file. Apps and sites that re-compress images (social apps, photo hosting, transcoding) destroy the hidden data — the .ckx file is the safest choice.
The backup file can restore local wallet ciphertext, AI settings, merchant settings, products, orders and contacts across desktop, phone and tablet. The file is encrypted again, and biometric data is never restored across devices.
Desktop browsers download the JSON file. Phones and tablets can use system sharing after export to save it to Files, cloud drive or another device.
AI Settings
The static version never ships a shared platform AI key. Your key is encrypted on this device and the browser calls your configured provider directly.
